Micro-frauds, (and maybe even the next macro/major fraud ie Madoff, Housing bubble, etc.) uncovered by you, the crowd!. (Think Wikipedia meets the SEC meets Stackoverflow.com meets YOU.)
There are 3,400 issues currently quoted on the OTCBB. There are thousands of investors watching and looking for things the SEC, FINRA, NASD, RATING AGENCIES, ATTORNEYS GENERAL, etc just don't have time for. This site allows for that data to be synthesised to either, provide more accurate quotes and information for OTC securities, and when necessary, to identify possible cases of fraud before the regulators can. We are in the process of adding a WIKI to our ISSUER QUOTATION PAGES. See how many of the 3000 are higher than they were a year ago, have been reported as spam, have raised funds via a PIPE, have multiple listings for the same company or mgmt team, have changed names more than 2x in 24 months, have been involved with a reverse merger, etc.Not just a forum, this site is a reputation engine for both issuers and investors, with a memory and a brain. See which Issuers, Lenders, Market Makers, PR firms, Investors, and Brokers that we think are ABOVE BOARD, HERE (zero so far, link will click when we find one)
Better solutions for honest issuers
(your company will need to meet minimum guidelines to qualify):1. claim your profile and take advantage of new/social media to get your message out to more potential investors at a fraction of the cost.
2. control and monitor (not censor) the online chat room, bulletin board, etc. Bring the investor community conversation "in house"
3. turn your issuer page green, differentiate your company among other OTCBB companies and reach more investors (all issues are red, rated caution, by default)
Better solutions for honest investors:
1. quickly identify trustworthy issuers
2. quickly identify trustworthy posters
3. learn about the "real" OTCBB from experts, not just other posters about whom you know nothing
